The Stamford Fellowship for Jewish Learning is an intimate, unaffiliated, liberal Jewish congregation, formed in 1973 as a synagogue without walls. We hold Shabbat services at the Meeting House in Stamford. Our High Holiday services, attended by many members and non-members, are held at the Westover School.  We have midweek Jewish Education classes for children from first grade to Bar & Bat Mitzvah age.

There are many activities and functions at the Fellowship.  Some include Shabbat suppers, study groups, and lectures.

The process of defining who we are, the values we share, and how these values are expressed in the way we live together as a congregation, as members of the Jewish community and of the larger community, is ongoing. Our context is familial rather than institutional.

This statement is intended to provide members and potential members with guidelines for participation. We seek to create a fellowship of congregants who understand that membership implies a responsibility to reach out to others, to share joys, to bring comfort, to be helpful when asked and when not asked.

Our goal is to educate ourselves in Judaism to gain an increasing understanding and appreciation of our Jewish heritage and earnestly to fulfill it in the way that we live.
